A Bit Different This Week!

Image
It's hard to believe we only have two weeks left of grade three! Thank you to all of you who continue to work hard and turn in fantastic work. Your fairytales were so good! I couldn't wait for the next day to find out what was going to happen. 😊 This week things will look a bit different. You will see a choice board has been posted in the Google Classroom.  Your job this week is to choose at least 3 math and 3 language arts tasks from the board, but of course, you can always do more! You can send them as you complete them, or send just one email once you have them all complete! We will still be doing a fun Friday task for Fathers day, so be on the lookout for that as well! Some of you made some pretty awesome houses for our 'Three Little Pigs' challenge. Check it out!

Lots of Great Work!!

You guys have been pretty busy again last week! Some of you sent pictures of your kites, and whether they flew or not, they sure looked good! This week we are finishing things up as we start to wrap up our year and get ready for grade four. It sure has been a year to remember! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication as we continued our learning online. I have been so impressed with how well everyone has done. Check out some of the things your classmates have been up to! Chanel and Rae-Lynn made some beautiful and very colorful kites! Many of you found all sorts of combinations for our dice challenge. I hope you were all as happy as Scarlett was after finding them! Tanner went go-karting in Drumheller where he had the whole place to himself! What a lucky guy!! Isaac did some sewing and created this custom mouse pad for his mom. He also created a satellite that didn't make last weeks post.

Happy June!

You guys have been busy completing the daily assignments, and even though you are at home, I can tell you are learning so much! Not only are you getting your schoolwork done, lots of you have been trying out other hobbies and projects as well. You have done things like cooking, taking up photography, and even helping to raise money for charities! Amazing! Check out what some of your classmates have been up to as well as the very cool satellites that were created. Kira has been spending her time very wisely! She baked up some homemade dog biscuits, set up a stand and raised over $400 for charity selling them. Way to go Kira!!!!!! Jordan has been trying out photography and found some very cute subjects in his neighborhood!   Isaac has been doing lots of cooking and spending his time in the kitchen trying new recipes And lots of you were very creative with your satellites!!

You have done such a great job this week creating poems and learning about different bases systems in math! Some of you got creative with our STEM task this week as well. This week will continue looking at different types of poetry and beginning looking at our first strategy for adding 2 and 3 digit numbers. Check out what your classmates have been up to!

Spring is Here!

Hi Grade Three's! I hope everyone was able to get out and enjoy the sun last week! It feels like spring is finally here. I apologize that last weeks blog did not post. I will be posting each Monday. Thanks for all your hard work last week as we dove into poetry and place value.  I know online learning is different but I have to say I am so impressed with how well you have done with it! We are starting to figure out Google Classroom together and I love seeing your work each day. You are still so creative and show such perseverance with challenge tasks- I am proud of you! We will be having a Google Meet at 11:00 am on Thursday (this will be our standard time). See if you can think up a 'would you rather' question to share with the class! Check out some of the creative bird feeders, Mo Willems drawings, and delicious meals your classmates have created!
