Retry with Popsicle sticks and Plasticine
Smoosh, smoosh, smoosh went the plasticine as the kids squished it. Today in science, we did the same thing as last time. Last time we had to make structures out of plasticine and popsicle sticks. This time we used our knowledge of strong shapes and the use of triangles to make them stronger. In gym, we played monkey in the middle. Our warm up game was were we had to shuffle while the music was on and when it stopped we had to run to a corner. Then Ms. Brady would roll the die and whatever number it landed on that corner had to go to the middle. In word work, we did idioms. In math, we had centers.

The CHS “Coventry Cares Club” is asking students and families to support our latest initiative “Koalas & Kangas” by bringing a loonie or a toonie to school between January 20 and March 19, 2020. The students thought that this would be a good way to be global citizens and make a difference by helping and supporting animals that have been affected by the current Australian wildfires. With your help we hope to send a really BIG cheque to one of the charities currently rescuing and nursing injured koalas and kangaroos. The BEST part of this project is that Mrs. Verstraete’s daughter, Miss V., is currently teaching in Brisbane, AU, and can personally deliver our money to the charity of our choice. She will also send us back some pictures of our money in action! Thanks for your help and support of “Koalas & Kangas”!
