Getting Ready for Monday

Hi Everyone, and welcome back to the blog!  It was great to talk to all of you this week!  If you ever need help, please reach out and we will try out best to steer you in the right direction.  We are all in this together.

Having said that, we are excited to move forward with some ongoing learning at home and will be delivering that through our regular classroom Blogs. 
  1. You will receive 2 tasks every day, Monday-Thursday (1 Literacy, 1 Numeracy) including instructions/explanations for their completion. 
  2. On "Fun Fridays" I will be sending you a creative challenge which may take the form of a STEM project, a math puzzle or an art activity- we know you will enjoy these!
  3. Mom/Dad/Grandparent/Siblings: Yes, you can support your Grade 3 student with their learning, just like we do at school... but DON'T DO IT FOR THEM!!
  4. Once per week, I will be asking you to submit a specific piece of work - this is as easy as taking a picture with your electronic device and emailing it to krfagnan@cbe.ab.ca.  Once we get this process going, I am hoping to post various work samples on the blog for students to see each other's work and be inspired!
  5. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions about learning tasks, or your child requires additional explanation. I will be available (through CBE email) during these "office hours" M-F: 9-11am and 1-3pm.
  6. And remember, Keep READING, play BOARD GAMES, eat yummy SNACKS, stay safe at HOME and LOOK AFTER EACH OTHER! And... of course, WASH YOUR HANDS!! 👏💦

Our First Google Meet!

Great job using google classroom! I loved reading your comics, they often made me laugh out loud. You guys are funny! I am glad you are also so tech savvy and were able to figure out how to use it so quickly. We have our first google meet today at 11:00am. Just go into the classroom and click on the link in the banner The link will appear about 5 minutes before the meeting. If you can, try to mute your mic before entering or it gets really noisy. If you don't know how, don't worry! I will be there to help. If you can't make it tomorrow, you can try to join in on Thursday at 1:00pm. If you can't make either, no problem!
